Great location, cozy place with all you need to relax and enjoy. Nice deck with bbq and private garden. A few hundred meters away from the beach to watch the sunset or simply enjoy the surroundings. We had an awesome time. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I enjoyed a week at Julie's lovely suite which was spacious, very well equipped and had a wonderful patio complete with BBQ, pub table, and chaise loungers. The interior is also very appealing with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

What a beautiful suite to spend some time in. The kitchen is well appointed with everything you could possibly need to make your meals, should cooking be what you love to do. The furnishings are gorgeous and so well suited to the ambience of the space. The soaker tub and rain shower are fab too! It is just a short walk to the beach which is a great way to walk off a big dinner! Julie's garden offered some lovely ripe tomatoes which we really appreciated.

The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Julie's place. It was as advertised and more: the outside including the secluded "grotto of the babbling brook" (my name!) - peaceful; the tasteful and high end finish of the suite - the "swirly bathroom sink" must be one of the seven wonders of Bowen; the kick ass Wolf gas range - wow. Julie was also very helpful. It makes a great base for a holiday on Bowen.

Relaxing retreat
We enjoyed a peaceful long weekend away from it all on beautiful Bowen Island. Each morning I brewed some fresh-ground coffee and wandered out to the little fish pond where I could listen to the waterfall and watch the sun rise over the massive rock that borders the property. (The rock is so massive that even in the summer, the sun doesn't rise over it until mid morning so we could still sleep in). We did most of our own cooking using the fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor BBQ and enjoyed a little bit of fresh produce from the garden. Our host was most helpful making sure we had everything we needed. Thanks Julie!

A luxurious, warm, quiet hideaway.
My partner and I came for 3 nights in deep winter for our own personal yoga/meditation retreat. We loved the wood stove, ample supply of wood and candles, which all made for great coziness. The Japanese-style soaker tub was fun to share. The beds and furnishings were all first class. The kitchen was ample for us to prepare all our meals.

Dream Home!
We could not have picked a better place to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Julie Vik and her sons have done an AMAZING job renovating their home into an idyllic VRBO. We loved the meticulous detail to lighting, the beautiful kitchen, luxurious bath, even flowers and chocolates! And Bowen Island is the perfect getaway for Hawaiians who need to be close to the ocean but can't wait to hike mountain trails, explore a forest lake, and dine in unique places. Well taken care of
Cozy, comfortable, and spacious with an amazing bathroom. Lots of kitchen space and a beautiful fireplace to start a warm fire and snuggle up on the couch. We ordered food from the host for all of our meals. Good selection from the menu for our short stay. All meals were delicious and reasonably priced. We really enjoyed the pecan pie for dessert! It's close to the beach and to golfing. Beautiful views from many places on the island. Loved it and would definitely return for another stay!

This vacation home is fantastic! We had such a great time on the island while we were staying here. It was awesome to be able to have our own little sanctuary to come back to after a day full of activities. For less then the price of staying in a hotel we got the whole bottom of the house which included a bedroom, kitchen, dining area living area and an amazing bathroom. We had such an amazing host too. We were able to relax and have alot of fun on our vacation. No worrying involved! I would recommend this place for anyones vacation.

The place is simply enchanting. The ammonite shaped sink in the washroom stole my heart. And, because of the location, we managed to climb the mt. Gardner and visit the Tunstall beach on the same day! Dreamy.

This place is perfect for a romantic getaway or a cozy place to escape with a small crew of people. Spacious with gorgeous kitchen and bathroom. Exceeded our expectations! Julie was so accommodating and a wonderful host. Area inside and out is very private- campfire area, lounge patio, large backyard and secret garden area. Quick 10 min walk to the beach in a very peaceful and serene part of Bowen. Loved it so much we extended our trip so we could stay another day.
